Behaviour and Anti-Bullying
It is a primary aim and mission of our school that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that each person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring, Christian community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. The school behaviour policy is therefore designed to support the way in which all members of the school can live and work together in a supportive way. It aims to promote an environment where everyone feels happy, safe and secure.
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at our school. Through the RE and PSHE curriculums pupils learn how to behave towards each other promoting tolerance and mutual respect.
Children speak confidently about different types of bullying and what to do if they were being bullied. Children are mostly able to distinguish between ad hoc name calling and persistent bullying as a result of our teaching and awareness raising programmes. It is really important that you speak to your child’s class teacher or member of the SLT if you feel your child may be experiencing any form of bullying.
